This one of a kind piece of wearable art was hand woven on a floor loom in my studio under the watchful eyes of two adoring border collies. The yarn was measured for the warp; hand dyed using 5 different colors, producing a variegated effect. Approximately 15 yards of fabric is woven from each warp that is dyed. If there is fringe it is hand twisted. All fabric is machine washed and dried.
My favorite part is watching as the thread weave together creating subtle shading changes. While weaving I can only see about 12 inches of finished fabric. After weaving it's exciting to watch the fabric wind off the loom.
