Bamboo Shawl Handwoven Golden
Note the close up photos #6,7 show the weave structure and perhaps a better representation of the actual color. The others show how this item can be worn.
It can be worn as a poncho, scarf, or draped as a cowl with fringe hanging down your back.
Fiber: Bamboo yarn is soft and drapes well. It breathes and can be worn in all seasons: under a coat in the winter over a sundress or top in the spring, summer, or fall.
Weave: Tabby
Colors: Gold with hints of ecru, Adobe, taupe
Size: 18 1/2” by 31” folded plus fringe
Machine washable - cold water gentle cycle
Dry in dryer
This one of a kind piece of wearable art was hand woven on a floor loom in my studio under the watchful eyes of two adoring border collies. The fringe it is hand twisted. All fabric is machine washed and dried after the item is woven.
My favorite part is watching as the thread weave together creating subtle shading changes. While weaving I can only see about 12 inches of finished fabric. After weaving it's exciting to watch the fabric wind off the loom.
