DK Size is similar to 3/2 for weaving Sett suggestions 12 epi
Weaving calculation sheet included with yarn
Each skein is approximately 100 grams. 246 yards Hand dyed
Weaving suggestions: Use one skein for warp (I prefer the multi color for the warp) and the other for the weft. Sett at 12 epi, 8 inches wide 2 ½ yard warp. Sett at 10 epi, 9 inches wide 2 1/2 yard warp. Loom waste will be your fringe.
You could also use this yarn to knit or crochet to make a scarf, infinity scarf or shrug. The size will depend on your pattern.
Knitting needles suggestions size 5-7
Crochet hook size suggestion H, I
NOTE: All yarn has been hand dyed. Some sections may be lighter than others. No two are alike. This adds to the uniqueness and look of added texture.
For Tencel I use cold water, mild detergent (if you have access to a textile wash this is great) in the washing machine on gentle by itself and add the color grabber that is included it will catch excess dye (hard to rinse it all out). If you have your own you can add two. When it is wet it may feel stiff until it is dry. I then dry the fabric in the dryer until it is almost dry. Hang to finish drying. Iron if needed.
TENCEL™ is made from Sustainable wood pulp so the trees the fibers come from are from carefully managed forests.
Secondly, Tencel is fully compostable in industrial and in-home composting settings and does not cause problems in the Oceans. Finally, this fibre is made on a closed-loop production process, with high resource efficiency and low ecological impact.
